Mrs. Yvonne Sullivan Steen, 76, of Catawba, died Saturday, June 25, 2016, at her home.The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Wolfe Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tony Caruso officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road in Rock Hill.Born in Jefferson, Mrs. Steen was a daughter of the late Chap and Bessie Pittman Sullivan. She retired from Springs Industries in Fort Mill and Fort Lawn as a spinner and weaver. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Harland “Pete” Steen; her son, Rick Steen of Gastonia, N.C.; her daughter, Vonnie Gartner (Karl) of Rock Hill; two brothers, Arizona Sullivan of Fort Mill and Jerry Sullivan (Libby) of Jefferson; four sisters, Elma McKinney of Fort Mill, Gladys Lear of Rock Hill, Joyce Wilson of Indian Land and Linda Jenkins of Mt. Crogan, two grandchildren, Deanna Nicole Lowrance of Gastonia and Jacob “Jake” Thornburg (Shannon) of Myrtle Beach; seven great-grandchildren, Justin Thornburg, Joseph Thornburg, Juliette Thornburg, Jerry Steen, David Thomason, Nicholas Steen and Emily Lowrance.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Fort Mill and other times at the home.Read Obituary
