Mr. Walter Lawson, 91, of Fort Mill, died Sunday, November 29, 2015, peacefully at his home.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Sally Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.Born in Nottingham, England, Mr. Lawson was a son of the late Will and Alice Baxter Lawson. He served in the Royal Air Force (1943-1948). Mr. Lawson traveled extensively on business, making friends around the world. He retired from Burroughs (Unisys) in 1988, and since that time his greatest joys were time spent with family and friends; traveling; gardening; solving crossword puzzles, and watching the birds in his backyard. Tea was served daily at 4pm! While he was able, he was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.Surviving are his daughter, Sheilah Reuille and son-in-law, Edward of Fort Mill; his 101 year-old sister, Mollie Wallis of Birmingham, England; two grandchildren, Jennifer Maestas and her husband, Nathan of Denver, Colorado; and Christina Reuille of Fort Mill. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Reading Fogg Lawson (2013).In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Building Fund, P.O.
