Verlin “V.J.” Robinson, Jr. age 68, of Rock Hill, S.C., passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill.The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m., on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in the Chapel at the Fort Mill Church of God. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Mike Stolzfus officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Wyatt Cemetery in Newdale, N.C with his brother-in-law Bob Via officiating.Born in Micaville, N.C., Mr. Robinson was a son of the late Verlin J. Robinson and Willie Mae “Bill” Wallen Robinson. He graduated in 1970 from Olympic High School in Charlotte, N.C. Mr. Robinson retired from INA Bearing in Pineville. He loved his church, family, hunting, fishing, and all things nature.Surviving are his sisters, Wanda Cavin of Fort Mill and Carolyn Via (Bob) of Belmont, NC; his best friend Lisa Evans of Rock Hill, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gwenda Braswell (2000) and his brother, James A. Robinson (2018).Memorials may be made to the Hospice and Community Care, P.O.
