Tyler Ray Baker, age 28, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.The memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Glen Rock Baptist Church in Fort Mill. The family will receive friends following the service.A native of Fort Mill, Tyler worked for Evans Tire and Wrecker Service and formerly with Patterson’s Wrecker Service. He had served as a volunteer firefighter with the Riverview Fire Department. Tyler loved the Lord and his family and his friends. Tyler had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone, it didn’t matter who they were. He was very creative and talented. His interests included drawing, videography with his sister and decorating with lights especially at Christmas and Halloween. He also had a passion for adding safety lights to his personal truck as well as his tow truck. Tyler enjoyed comic superhero movies and was a particularly big fan of Iron Man and Batman. Tyler enjoyed going to the beach but loved the snow as well.Surviving are his mother, Barbara Manley Baker; his father, Billy Ray Baker; his brother, Kyle Baker; his sister, Nikki Baker; his paternal grandmother, Ann Trimnal Baker; his maternal grandmother, Joyce Manley, all of Fort Mill; aunts, Margaret and Teresa; cousins, Tabitha, Jessica, Cameron, Greyson, Big Jason, Krystal, Little Jason, Jenna, Megan, Jared, Ocean, Christian and Dylan; and other extended family members. He is also survived by his dogs, Zoey, Riley, Jazz, Mackie, Cooper, Lil Bit and Dixie. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill Baker (2017) and John Richard Manley (2016) and the family’s beagle, Cali (2018).In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wolfe Funeral Home for the funeral fund, PO Box 190, Fort Mill, SC 29716.
