Mrs. Teresa Starlene Furr Potts of Indian Land, entered into Glory Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at her home. She was 75 years old.The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Pineville Church of the Nazarene, with the Revs. Aaron Horton, Dewey Wise and Duncan Puckett officiating. The burial will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 238 Fort Mill Highway in Indian Land. Mrs. Potts was born in Charlotte, daughter to the late Ralph Albert Furr and Maude Belle Porter Furr. She was a 1963 graduate of South Mecklenburg High School. For many years she took care of children in the community, nieces, nephews and her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of the Pineville Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years. She enjoyed reading her Bible and crossword puzzles. She sang in the Furr Sister Trio and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary. Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lawrence Terry Potts, Sr. in 2019.She is survived by her children, Angela “Angie” Potts Ennis and her husband Troy of Indian Land, Lawrence Terry Potts, Jr. and his wife Carla of Indian Land, and Marjorie "Margie" Potts Moore of Indian Land and her significant other Todd Wilson of Edgemoor; her siblings, Linda Manus of Weddington, N.C., Carol Tate (Larry) of Waxhaw, N.C. and Rick Furr (MaryRuth) of Huntersville, N.C.; and her six grandchildren, Greg Ennis, Zach Ennis (Kasey), Stone Potts, Cameron Moore, Jaxson Potts, and Kelsey Moore; sister-in-law, Edith Jones (Harry) of Clover, brother-in-law, Daniel Parker of Rock Hill; her former son-in-law, Charles Moore, Jr. of Indian Land; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Parker (2019), brother-in-law, Tommy Manus (1991) and nephew, Timothy Manus (1994).The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2020 the Pineville Church of the Nazarene at 8614 Pineville-Matthews Road in Charlotte, N.C. and at other times at the family home.Memorials may be made to the Hendersonville Nazarene Camp Ground, c/o Candy Watson, 454 McMurray Road, Flat Rock, NC 29731.
