Susan Noblitt Genry

Mrs. Susan Noblitt Genry, age 71, of Rock Hill and formerly of Fort Mill, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at Piedmont Medical Center.Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Philadelphia United Methodist Church of Fort Mill. The funeral ceremony will be at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Becky Shirley officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.Born in Rock Hill, Susan was a daughter of the late Russell Homer Noblitt and Sarah Norwood Noblitt. She graduated from Fort Mill High School and received two associate degrees at York Technical College. Susan was retired from United Supply Company and was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church. She was an excellent seamstress and was the props mistress in her younger days for the Fort Mill Playhouse. Susan enjoyed sewing, cooking, bowling, and traveling with her family. She loved spending time and playing with her grandchildren. She loved her Daddy and her cat, Jake.Surviving are her husband of sixteen years, Phillip Charles Genry; her son, Marty Taylor (Kimberly) of Fort Mill; her stepchildren, Phillip Genry Jr. (Erica) of Birmingham, Ala., Amy Genry of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Amanda Hatley (Bob) of White Fish, Montana; two sisters, Jean McDade (John) of Fort Mill and Mary Neely (Stan) of Rock Hill; five grandchildren, Sarah and Emily Taylor, Phil Genry, Erin Genry and Lucas Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
