Mrs. Sue Burch Carter, age 83, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.The family will receive friends from 10 until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. The committal service will follow at Unity Cemetery.Born in Charlotte, Mrs. Carter was born to the late Rosa Lee Williams Burch. She graduated from Harding High School. She was as a member of First Baptist Church and was active in its Adult Bible Fellowship and volunteered at the Fort Mill History Museum. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing tennis and golf.Surviving are two sons, John Richard Carter, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., and Brian Lee Carter and his wife Julie of Fort Mill; and four grandchildren, Dylan, Alex, Addison, and Hannah.
