Robert "Bob" Simpson

Mr. Robert Henry “Bob” Simpson, 74, of Fort Mill, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at CMC-Pineville.The visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. The service will follow at 2 p.m, with the Rev. Carl Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Bobby and Tina Hildreth, 226 Canonero Place in Indian Land.Born in Edgemoor, Mr. Simpson was a son of the late Walter Pinkney Simpson and Cora Sexton Simpson. He was formerly employed with Moss Trucking, J&J Machinery and J.B. Hunt. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. We are comforted to know that Bob is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Sharon Fay Gardner Simpson; his son, Allen Simpson of Lake Wylie; two daughters, Tina Hildreth (Bobby) of Indian Land and Cristy Little (Jamie) of Rock Hill; his brother, Ed Simpson of Dixon, Ill.; two sisters, Louise Wiggins (Jerry) of Deltona, Fla. and Ruth Neely (Grady) of Columbia; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, James William Simpson and his daughter, Julie Ratcliffe (Richard).Memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Pentecostal P.O.
