Rebecca Crane Gray “Becca” of Fort Mill, SC, died at home on October 14, 2016. She was born on June 6, 1948 in Charlotte NC. Becca was the third of five children born to the late Elliott Smythe Crane and Nancy Earnhardt Crane. She graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte and East Carolina University. In 1968 she married Barry Dale Gray who died in 2010. She was employed by Bimco Wholesale Plumbing Supply in Lexington, NC for 28 years. She was currently working at Lowe’s in Fort Mill. SC and attended Riverview Presbyterian Church.Mrs. Gray is survived by three children, Ranie Gray of Lexington, NC, Heather Cagle (Ken) of Thomasville, NC and Jessica Gray of Raleigh, NC; her grandson, Alexander Cagle; four siblings, Susan Melson (Bill), Libby Phillips (David), all of Charlotte, Dr. John Crane (Helen) of Mt. Airy, NC and Jimmy Crane (Squeek) of Quincy, CA; nieces and nephews, Chrissie Light (Steve), Michael Phillips (Sharon), Jennifer Melson, Lindsey Hatch (Matt), Will Melson (Shannon), Stephen Phillips, Jonathan Crane, Daniel Crane (Emily), and Ali Crane and great nieces and nephews, Amanda Light, Katie Light, Aaron Phillips, Drew Melson, Ashton Melson, Avery Crane, Bennett Crane, Emily Hatch and Stella Hatch. Becca loved her family. She loved anything that could be done outside, working in the yard, growing flowers, sitting in the sun at the beach, sitting under the trees at Camp Meeting, talking with friends. She was incredibly brave. She never ceased to be “young at heart”.We hold dear the many happy memories we as a family shared through the years. We will miss her presence and we will cherish her memory.There will be a graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC on Thursday, October 27th at 11 a.m. Those so desiring may send memorials to Pleasant Grove Campground, 3010 Potter Road, P.O.
