Donald Ray Long, Jr., age 53, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 10 until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Fort Mill. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ken Terry officiating. A Fort Mill native, Ray attended Fort Mill High School. Ray worked in IT/Industrial Maintenance for Alliance Plastics in Rock Hill. He was mechanically gifted with talent to fix anything…almost. If he couldn’t fix it, you needed a new one. In addition to “wrenching”, he loved fishing, especially with his father and his son. Ray is survived by his son, Davis B. Long and his girlfriend, Paige McComber of Fort Mill; his girlfriend, Catherine Doggett of the home; his father, Donald Ray Long, Sr. and his wife, Jean; his mother, Sue Gogoladze and her husband, Tamazi of Wilson, N.C.; his stepsister, April Battle and her husband, John of Rock Hill.
