Ralph Stanley Hood

Mr. Ralph Hood, age 87, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at his home.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Wolfe Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Joel McMakin officiating.Son of the late Ralph Waldo Hood and Mamie Rosetta Collins Hood, Mr. Hood was born in Indian Land and graduated from Indian Land High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Hood was retired from the construction industry and was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. He loved NASCAR and a huge Richard Petty fan. He also enjoyed watching the Carolina Panthers football team.Surviving are his son, Kenneth Stanley Hood of Rock Hill; his daughter, Pamela Ruth Hood of Fort Mill; grandchildren, Joshua Dylan Hyatt and Heather Nicole Ritch and her husband, Douglas; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Elizabeth Triplette, Logan Douglas Ritch and Braedon Douglas Ritch; and lots of nieces and nephews.
