Mrs. Mary Frances Stafford

Mrs. Mary Frances Blackwell Stafford, age 78, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019, at Morningside Assisted Living in Rock Hill.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Wolfe Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Burdette officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road in Rock Hill.Born in Gaffney, Mrs. Stafford was a daughter of the late Elijah Blackwell and Bertha Worley Blackwell. Mary was retired from Springs Industries where she was a weaver at the Fort Mill Plant. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rock Hill. She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent gardener. Mary was widowed Joseph William Stafford in 1995.Surviving are her son, Mike Stafford and his wife, Debbie of Indian Land; her daughters, Teresa Cronell of Fort Mill and Bertha Allred and her husband, Mark, all of Indian Land; her brothers, Elijah Blackwell, Jr. of Fort Mill and Ernest Steve Blackwell of Rock Hill; her sisters, Shirley Lipe and Janice Lynn Melton, both of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
