Lucille Griffin Grant

Mrs. Virginia Lucille Griffin Grant, 91, of Westminster Village, Rock Hill, SC, died Monday, September 12, 2016. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hudson H. Griffin, Mrs. Grant was born March 16, 1925, in Fort Mill, SC. She retired from Springs Mills and later from Fort Mill High School cafeteria. She was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, C. Donald Grant. Mrs. Grant is survived by her two sons, Don Grant, Sr. (Rosemary) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Barry Grant (Linda) of Rock Hill, SC; three grandchildren Don Grant, Jr, Holly G. Robinson, and Jeremy Grant; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings Phyllis Carswell (Ed), Pat Corley and Jerry Griffin, all of Fort Mill and Carolyn Faught of Jackson, TN. The service will be held at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, Fort Mill, at 2 p.m. on Friday September 16, 2016. Family will receive friends after interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Philadelphia United Methodist Church, Hospice Care of South Carolina, or to a charity of one’s choice.Read Obituary
