Mrs. Lucille Gibson, 93, of Clover, SC went to the Lord on May 15th following the death of her husband Robert B. Gibson two weeks earlier. The couple had recently celebrated their 70th anniversary.Mrs. Gibson was born Cammie Lucille Kimbrell in the Steele Creek area of NC. She was the oldest of six children of Vernie Culp Kimbrell and Loubert Kimbrell. Following graduation from King’s College in Charlotte, she worked as an accountant and bookkeeper until age 72, most recently for Beaty Real Estate Company. She was always willing to help friends and family prepare taxes.Anyone who met Mrs. Gibson knew her as a thoughtful and very generous person. She never failed to acknowledge birthdays, graduations, births, children and grandchildren of friends, family, and acquaintances old and new. Her constant faith in God and insistence on always doing the right thing were trademarks of her life. She was a source of inspiration and encouragement to others. Mrs. Gibson was a lifetime member and supporter of the Philadelphia United Methodist Church.Survivors include her son, Robert D. Gibson (Laura) of Lake Wylie; daughter, Jeanne G. Jones of Union Hall, Virginia; three grandchildren, Ellen Gibson, Seth Jones, and Brandy Curtis; great-grandson Ethan Jones. She is survived by two sisters, Sally Verdi of Atlanta and Bonnie Hoffman of Rock Hill, and one brother, Gary Kimbrell of Rock Hill.A funeral service will be held at Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Fort Mill, SC at 2PM on Thursday, May 25th. The family will receive friends starting at 1PM at the Church. Burial at Flint Hill Baptist Church following the service. Rev.
