Mrs. Lorine Bateman Moore, affectionately called “Nannie”, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021. She was born to the late Monroe and Oma Bateman in Ararat, Virginia, and a retiree of Hanes Hosiery in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.Lorine (Nannie) is survived by her husband, Wade Calvin Moore; her only child, Deborah Moore Catoe (Garry); granddaughter, Kelli Catoe Shannon (Hiram) of Rock Hill; and two precious great-grandsons, Wilson Banks Shannon and Carson McDaniel Shannon. She is also survived by her brother, Mike Bateman (Vivian); and two sisters, Bonnie Mellor and Leah Davis (Rex). Her siblings, Lloyd Bateman (Carol) and Vertie Hubbard preceded her in death.Nannie was an avid reader; enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, playing cards with her friends and especially spending time at the Lake House! She had an adventurous travel spirit and captured the hearts of everyone she met. She loved her Church, Mt. Airy Friends Meeting, but her greatest love was that for her family. Nannie was a loving and devoted wife, an indescribable great mother and friend. Her family love burst at the seams with the birth of her only grandchild, Kelli or “sweetheart” as Nannie called her. She often said, “I have had a wonderful life, but I wish that I was able to play and keep my “Precious Boys”-Banks and Carson.Special thanks to Julie, Leslie, Teresa, The Laurels and Wellmore for their love and care.A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 7th at Mt.
