Mr. Lloyd Thomas, age 83, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at home surrounded by his family.The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 pm Monday, August 12, 2019 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Carl Williams officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens – Cherry Road in Rock Hill following the funeral.Born in Aquadale, NC, Lloyd was a son of the late Lloyd Edward Thomas and Olaf Dane Thomas. He worked as a commercial insulator. Lloyd enjoyed woodworking, remodeling and building stuff for friends and family.Surviving are his sons, Michael Gregory of Fort Mill, Paul Gregory of Tampa, Florida, Chris Thomas of Fort Mill; his daughter, Pam Thomas of Blacksburg, SC; his sister, Laura Simpson (Dave) of York, SC; and his grandson Gary Dantzler, whom he raised; several additional grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Robinson Thomas in 2010, his brother, Curt Thomas, and his sister, Arcia Thomas.Read Obituary
