Mrs. Linda Ann Lambert Whiteside, age 74, passed away Monday, March 8th, 2021, at her son’s home.Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. on Friday, March 12th, 2021, at Wolfe Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Fite officiating.A native of Fort Mill, Linda was a daughter of the late Willard Cornelius Lambert (1996) and Peggy Jean Rayfield Lambert (2020). She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family and those in need. Linda was a charter member of and the Women of the Moose Chapter 2331, and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW. In her younger days, she was an avid archer and participated in many archery tournaments, and also enjoyed bowling.Surviving are her son, David Whiteside, Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Fort Mill; her brother, Donald “Donnie” Lambert of Fort Mill; her sister, Karen Porter of Surfside Beach; brother-in-law, Mike Pettus of Chester; two grandchildren, Blake Whiteside (fiancé, Savannah Jenkins) and Chaz Whiteside; great-grandson, Lance Whiteside; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David Ray “Honey” Whiteside, Sr. (2020); and two sisters, Vickie Lambert (2018) and Terrie Pettus (2020).In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Women of the Moose Chapter 2331, 1676 Harris Road, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
