L. Dale Jordan

Mr. Larry Dale Jordan, 74, died Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.The family will receive friends from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2017, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Joel McMakin officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Elkin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Elkin, N.C.Born in Elkin, N.C., Dale was a son of the late Ele Gennings Jordan and Martha Lou Ella Holbrook Jordan. He was a 1961 graduate of Elkin High School and graduated from East Carolina University in Human Resources Management. Dale was formerly employed with Odell Associates in Charlotte and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He loved his family and animals, especially horses and Weimaraners. Dale was a car enthusiast and enjoyed his Model A.Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Tamrah Whisnant Jordan; two daughters, Jenni Faulk (Brian) of Lewisville, N.C. and Courtney Simpson of Hickory, N.C.; his brother, David Jordan (Jean) of Clemmons, N.C.; his sister, Louvene Cooper (Carlos) of High Point, N.C.; his grandson, Xander Faulk of Lewisville, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.Dale was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Jordan (2015); brothers, Mayford and Bernard Jordan; and his sister, Christaphenia Moffitt.Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 238 Fort Mill Hwy., Indian Land, SC 29707.Read Obituary
