Kay Mahaffey Hensley

Mrs. Kay Mahaffey Hensley, age 83, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020, at her home.The Graveside Home Going Service will be held at Noon on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Center Grove Memorial Park on Henry Harris Road in Lancaster. Her son, Rev. Clarence Hensley, will officiate.Born in Van Wyck, Kay was the last surviving child of the late Clarence Daniel Mahaffey and Pauline Lipe Mahaffey. She worked for Springs Industries at the Pilot Mill and was a member of the Eastern Star at the Indian Land Masonic Lodge. Kay was a member of Center Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed needlepointing.Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence and Marianne Hensley, Raleigh and Terry Hensley, and Barry and Sheila Hensley, all of Indian Land; her daughter, Dianne Stevens of the home; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
