Mrs. Joyce Sullivan Wilson, age 83, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Atrium Health in Waxhaw, North Carolina.Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Belair United Methodist Church.The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Belair United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mallory Nickerson and the Rev. Gayle Summey Beaudrot officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Born in Jefferson, S.C., Joyce was one of 15 children born to the late Chapman Levi “Chap” Sullivan and Bessie Mae Pittman Sullivan. She was a spinner with Springs Industries for more than 26 years. Joyce was an active member of Belair United Methodist Church and the Women’s Circle. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.Mrs. Wilson is survived by two sons, Donald C. Wilson (Dianne) of Fort Mill and Randy E. Wilson (Lisa) of Indian Land; three daughters, Annette Gamble and Ruby McDonald, both of Indian Land, and Karen Myers (Donnie) of Hemingway, S.C.; her brother, Arizona Sullivan of Fort Mill; her sister, Linda Jenkins (Kenny) of Mount Croghan; her grandchildren, Chastity Gamble-Julg (Charles), Amanda Neuman (Michael), Joseph Wilson (Maria), Elise Triola (Kevin), Allison Cutrone (John), Elizabeth Myers, Jonathan Wilson, Tara Surbaugh, Julie Hord, Brian, Travis and Jeb Carter; and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin “Snapper” Wilson (2005); siblings, Lethea, Everett, Elma, Beatrice, Dorothy, David, Wilson, Gladys, Yvonne, Jerry; sons-in-law, Ted Gamble, Jr. and DeWayne “Mack” McDonald; and grandson, Justin Wilson.Memorials may be made to Belair U.M.C. or to the Food Pantry, 8095 Shelley Mullis Road, Indian Land, SC 29707.Read Obituary
