Joseph Stanley Armstrong

Mr. Joseph Stanley Armstrong, age 71, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018, at CMC-Pineville. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Mr. Armstrong was a son of the late Cleaton Armstrong and Martha Mayo Armstrong. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Armstrong graduated from the police academy at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte. He served with the Charlotte Police Department before leaving to work for Tomlinson Engineering. He later joined Warco Construction Company, retiring as Vice President. Joe enjoyed golf and watching football and the news. He was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ. Mr. Armstrong is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joan Major Armstrong; his son, Joseph Gregory Armstrong of Fort Mill; his sister, Brenda Brown of Knoxville, Tenn.; and other extended family members.
