John Knox McKenzie Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. John K. McKenzie, age 43, passed away Wednesday, February 23. 2022, at Atrium Main in Charlotte. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Wolfe Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Wolfe Funeral Home with Sgt. Brett Boykin officiating. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill. Born in Bitberg, Germany, John was a son of Kenneth James McKenzie and Ma Del Carmen Segovia y Jabato. He proudly served in the U.S. National Guard and was deployed during “Operation Enduring Freedom” in Afghanistan. Back at home, John worked as a masseur; and he enjoyed using his talents volunteering with Hospice, where he helped patients through massage therapy. He also supported the American Cancer Society and 24 Hours of Booty. He was currently working at Wellmore of Tega Cay. John is survived by his father, Kenneth James McKenzie of Fort Blackmore, Virginia; his mother, Ma Del Carmen Segovia y Jabato of Spain; his sister, Jessie Coble and her husband Jon of Columbia; his uncle, John D. McKenzie of Fort Mill; and aunt, Sherry Jones and her husband Gene of Fort Mill; and two nieces, Elena and Aria McKenzie Ma Del Carmen. Memorials may be made to 24 Hours of Booty Foundation, P.O.
