Joe Lee Blackmon

Mr. Joe Lee Blackmon, 81, of Great Falls and formerly of Lancaster, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at his home.The family receive friends at the home.Born in Lancaster, Mr. Blackmon was a son of the late Vernon Blackmon. He was a cattle farmer and enjoyed training and riding horses.Surviving are his children, Roger Blackmon of Great Falls and Joyce Poston of Lancaster; his stepchildren, Houston Jones of Fort Mill and Susanne Hancock of West Columbia; his brother, James Hubert Blackmon of Fort Mill; three sisters, Dollie B. Catoe of Lancaster, Lillian B. Poston and Joann B. Gregory, both of Fort Mill; four grandchildren, Charles T. Polston Jr., Richard L. Polston, Debra Blackmon and Crystal Blackmon; five step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, . He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Blackmon.Read Obituary
