Jimmy Rudisill

Mr. Jim Rudisill, Sr. entered into the Lord’s presence on Thursday, January 14, 2021 after fighting multiple myeloma and Parkinson’s for over six years. He was born in Winston-Salem, N.C., son of Arthur and Anne Rudisill of Concord, N.C. Due to COVID, the funeral service will be by invitation only at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Wayne Deffinger and Dr. Dan Griffin officiating on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service. Jim was a former member of First Baptist Church of Cornelius where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, and president of the Brotherhood. He married Betty Ann Garrison in 1978 and joined Flint Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, and trustee on many committees. Jim was a Mason and Past Master of Masonic Lodge #176 in Cornelius, N.C. Jim was a volunteer with Cornelius-Lemley Fire Dept. and on the Flint Hill Fire Dept. Board of Directors in Fort Mill. He worked for Western Electric in Charlotte, and retired from AT&T. Surviving are his wife, Betty Ann Rudisill; sons, Jim Rudisill, Jr. (Patty) of Waxhaw, N.C., Nick Rudisill of Huntersville, N.C., Rick Rudisill (Susan) of Charlotte, N.C.; sister, Sylbia “Sib” Plummer and brother-in-law, Bob Coleman of Mt. Pleasant, N.C.; sister-in-law, Joy Cranford of Fort Mill; and grandchildren, Anna Clark (Justin), Lael (Britni), Shaul, Jason, Michael, Jacob and Payton Rudisill. Box 518, Pineville, NC 28134 The family wants to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Justin Favaro and his entire nursing staff of Oncology Specialist of Charlotte, Charlotte, N.C. for their love and care during Jim’s illness.
