Jean Humphrey

Mrs. Jean Theresa Humphrey, age 90, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at her home.A Memorial Mass will be held at Noon on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Our Lady of Grace RC Church, on 7095 Waxhaw Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.Born in Newark, New Jersey, Mrs. Humphrey was a daughter of the late Donald Anthony Jerome and Jean Agnes Anderson Jerome. She had many interests which included, fantastic cook, excellent seamstress, all-around home handiperson, mastered the use of the computer/internet in her early 70s, researching her family ancestry, and playing bingo.She is survived by three sons, Michael Humphrey, Donald Humphrey, and Howard Ross Humphrey III; three daughters, Deborah Gafney, Michele Furnas, Tamara Furnas; twelve grandchildren, Theresa Steinmetz, Katherine Goodman, Candace Hegarty, Jennifer Furnas, Marion Moseley, Andrea Humphrey, Philip Humphrey, Daniel Furnas, Emily Furnas, Richard Humphrey, Rebecca Humphrey, and Lily Humphrey; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ross Humphrey, Jr. (2013); her daughter, Theresa Ann Humphrey; her grandson, Christopher Furnas; her granddaughter, Deborah Morales; her brother, John James Jerome; and her sister, Carol Helen Paladino.The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Wolfe Funeral Home, 314 Spratt Street, Fort Mill.
