Janet Sue Geranmayeh, age 61, of Rock Hill, S.C., passed on Nov. 8, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main in Charlotte, N.C. She was a wife, mother, sister and great friend of many. Janet enjoyed horses, good times, good friends and good food, also cooking and art, as well as family. She was born May 21, 1957.She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Clay and Peggy Cook and her sister, Connie Cook. Those left to share her memory are Ray Geranmayeh, her loving husband; Kristina Crowden, Michele Sutton and Michael Marlow, her children; Lisa Bourne and Cheryl Dsouza, her sisters; and several grandchildren, a great-grandchild and family.Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Wolfe Funeral Home, 314 Spratt St., Fort Mill, S.C. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Tony Caruso officiating. Immediately following will be the committal service at Unity Cemetery.She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. I just learned of Janet's passing. She was the driving force for the Jarvis Family genealogy site for many years and hundreds of distant cousins met each other for the first time, thanks to Janet. I owe so much to her. My heart is heavy. Janet was so knowledgeable and shared willingly with countless people. God rest her precious soul.

My wife and I are heart broken to hear of Jan’s Passing. I met Jan thru genealogy on the internet ( We are Carden Cousins). I only got to meet Jan in person one time when my wife and I went up to South Carolina to meet her and Ray and share old pictures. We were in contact every week on Facebook, we enjoyed food, politics and genealogy together on Facebook. I miss her so much.

God blessed my sister Denise with Janet at a very trying time in Denise’s life , Janet and Denise became friends / Sisters almost immediately .
God put them together for a reason . It’s sad to let her go but knowing it’s for the good of the lord may help some of the pain . With that being said my sister is not herself and will be a changed person forever because her love for Janet was beyond the imagination ..
I thank God for Janet because even thought she is resting In the hands of the lord My sister will forever have the precious memories , the swimmming together everyday , more important the love sisterly love was evident and beautiful ..
