James Neal Porter

Mr. James Neal Porter, age 57, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at his home.A graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Unity Cemetery, with the Rev. Rick Furr officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.Born in Rock Hill, Neal was a son of the late James Benjamin Porter and Blake Mary Neil Privette Porter. He attended Indian Land High School and worked at Wal-Mart in Indian Land. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports on television, and was an avid Greenbay Packer’s fan. Surviving are his son, Michael Whetstine (LaMar) of Columbia; and his sister, Beverly Berry (Rick) of Wesley Chapel, N.C. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lynn E. Porter.Read Obituary
