Hugh Rhomell Johnson Jr.

Mr. Hugh Rhomell Johnson, Jr., 85, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Flint Hill Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m., with Dr. Dan Griffin officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.Born in Camden, S.C., Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Hugh R. Johnson and Eva Mae Twitty Johnson. He was a supervisor with A&P Grocery Store and was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, and collecting Depression glass.Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Shirley Rouse Johnson; two sons, Steve Johnson and Rusty Johnson (Nora) of Fort Mill; two daughters, Terry Kissiah and Cindy Long (Bobby), both of Fort Mill; step-daughter, Donna Barber (Rick) of Valdosta, Ga.; two sisters, Sara Brock of Catawba and Vickie Boyd of Rock Hill; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
