Mrs. Gladys Ruth Jackson Williams, age 76, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Atrium Health Pineville.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Wolfe Funeral Home. The family also will receive friends at Glady’s home.The funeral ceremony will be at 2 p.m. on January 6, 2022, at Osceola United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mallory Nickerson and Rev. Ron Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Born in Rock Hill, Gladys was a daughter of the late Harold Blease Jackson and Ruby Ashley Jackson. She was a beautician, working alongside her Mother at Ruby’s Beauty Shop. Gladys also worked as a hostess at Ocean Place. She was a member of the Osceola United Methodist Church.Gladys is survived by two sons, John Earl Bigham III of Lancaster and Robert “Joey” Williams of Fort Mill; four daughters, Lisa Ann Bigham of Lincolnton, Teresa “Sissie” Johnson of Catawba, Johnna Lynn Smith (Bill) of Lancaster, and Hope Irene Williams; and blessed with many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Joe Williams; three children, Michael Ladon Williams, Donald “Andy” Williams and Tammy Williams Cantrell; three brothers, Bobby, Ernest and Billy Jackson; and a granddaughter, Tasha Smith.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.Read Obituary
