Gale B Nielsen Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Gale B Nielsen, age 68, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte. Born in Greenville, Michigan, Gale was the son of the late Ferris Nielsen and Esther Adams Nielsen. He graduated from Whitmore Lake High School, in Whitmore Lake, Michigan, and received his associates degree from Washtenaw Community College. He was a retired plumber and was currently working for State Line Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge. He was fiercely committed to his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved cooking for his family and prided himself in never following recipes. He loved everything sports, especially the Detroit Lions, Michigan State Baseball (where his son Chad played) and NASCAR. Everyone who knew Gale would tell you about his memorable and infectious laugh and his generous spirit. He was a member of Transformation Church in Indian Land and recently joined a mens group that focused on loving and supporting all people with different views and cultures, which was very important to him. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Trudy Brandt Nielsen; his children, Kara Crippen (Edward) of Fort Mill, Brennan Nielsen (Carrie) of Cleveland, TN, and Chad Nielsen (Arina) of Rock Hill; his brother, Dale Nielsen of South Lyon, MI; and three grandchildren, Liam Crippen, Brayden Nielsen, and Brynlee.
