Esther Puckett Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Esther Lucille Puckett, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Atrium Health Care in Pineville, North Carolina. A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, August 8th, 2022, at Tega Cay Baptist Church. Rev. Tim Vaughn will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held at Water Valley Cemetery in Water Valley Kentucky. Born in Speaker, MI, Esther was a daughter of the late George Frank Weston and Cora Bell Gilbert Weston. She was a member Water Valley Methodist Church in Kentucky. About ten years ago, Esther moved to South Carolina to be near her family and attended Tega Cay Baptist Church. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, baking and was a member of the Lake Wylie Lutheran Church Quilters. She is survived by two daughters, Louella Puckett Sievers of Lexington, Kentucky and Melanie Puckett Burns of Fort Mill, S.C.; her three grandchildren, Deidra DalPoggetto and her husband, Mike, of Fort Mill, S.C., James Burns and his wife Jamie, of Chapin, S.C., and Stanley Weston Sievers and his wife, Megan, of North Hollywood, California; seven great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Puckett (d.2002) and a brother and a sister. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Wylie Lutheran Church Quilters, 2906 Highway 160 West, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
