DuBreil Huey Epps

Mr. DuBreil Huey Epps, 85, of Fort Mill, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at The Haven in Pineville, NC.The funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wayne Deffinger officiating.Born in Fort Mill, Mr. Epps was a son of the late William Sutton Epps and Janie Huey Epps. He was a life-long resident of Fort Mill and was a 1947 graduate of Fort Mill High School. He retired after 35 years with Crowder Construction Company where he was an operations manager. Mr. Epps enjoyed traveling, gardening and was an avid hunter in his younger days. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather.Surviving are two sons, Keith DuBreil Epps and his wife, Ziza and Roy Edward Epps and his wife, Robin, all of Fort Mill; two sisters, Jane Watkins of Rock Hill and Doris Lee of Fort Mill; three grandchildren, Lucas Hamilton Epps, Roy DuBreil Epps and Melanie Elaine Epps. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Medora McCallister Epps (2013); his brother, William Sutton Epps, Jr. (2013), and his grandson, Sutton Walker Epps (2012).The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Wolfe Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, S.C.
