Mr. Donald Wayne Smith, 68, of Indian Land, died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at White Oak Manor in York.Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Wolfe Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m.Born in Rock Hill, Wayne was the only child born to the late Donald Eugene Smith and Myrtle Eureka Lawson Smith. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Wayne received an Associate Degree from King’s College and retired from Comporium as a supervisor at the plant work center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing men’s softball.Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Suzanne Barrett Smith; two sons, Anthony Shane Smith and his wife, Shanna, of Indian Land and Christopher Chad Smith of Fort Mill; and his grandson, Caleb McClimen.Memorials may be made to the Adult Enrichment Center, 105 Lestine Ct., Fort Mill, SC 29715.Read Obituary
