Ms. Christine Marie “Christy” Auton, 48, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at The Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Charlotte, N.C. following a brief battle with cancer.A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Clebourne House, 138 Clebourne Street, Fort Mill, with the Rev. Tony Caruso officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.Born in Hickory, NC, Christine was a daughter of Ronald Holmes and the late Nancy Napieralski Holmes. She was a 1988 graduate of St. Stevens High School and attended Pembroke University and UNC-Greensboro and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Phoenix University. She had been a co-owner of Fluid Sciences, Inc. and was currently working for Action Mechanical Contractors in Rock Hill. She was a devoted mother and poured her heart and soul into raising her three wonderful kids. She loved the beach and enjoyed combing the shore for shark teeth.Surviving are her children Lauren, Tyler and Sara Auton, all of the home; her father, Ronald Holmes of Hickory, NC; her brothers, Greg Holmes (Denise) of Winston-Salem, N.C., Bill Holmes (Melanie) of Hickory, N.C. and Eric Holmes of Raleigh, N.C.; her sister, Rhonda Holmes Light of Hickory, N.C; and her dear friend, Michelle Reeves of Fort MillMemorials may be made to a scholarship fund for the children, Lauren Auton, Bank of America, 115 Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715.Read Obituary
