Carson Steen

Mr. Carson Donald Steen, age 81, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Atrium Health Care Pineville. A service to celebrate Mr. Steen’s life will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Indian Land Baptist Church. Rev. Benny Green Sr. and Rev. James Graves will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. Born in Jefferson, Carson was a son of the late Wade Atwood Anderson and Gracie Mae Steen. He was the founder of Steen Products. Tinkering with old cars and woodworking were some of his favorite things. Always wanting to stay busy with his hands, Carson even invented a few things. He was a lifetime member of the Catawba Masonic Lodge #56. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Bonnie Benton Steen; two sons, Ricky Steen (Phyllis) and Robby Steen (Sheila) all of Fort Mill; his grandsons, Matthew Steen (Kayla), Dylan Steen, Noah Steen, and Jacob Steen (Michelle); and his great-granddaughter, Rylee Brooke Steen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Steen (1999).
