Carlton "Cotton" Stegall

Carlton Holt “Cotton” Stegall, Sr., Fort Mill, S.C., age 83, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Center.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until Noon, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church. The funeral service will follow at Noon, with the Rev. Carl Williams. Burial entombment follow at Unity Cemetery.Born in Marvin, N.C., Carlton “Cotton” was the last of seven children born to the late Luther Lloyd Stegall, Jr. and Willie Mae Gordon Stegall. He was a painter and was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church. Carlton “Cotton” enjoyed hunting and fishing.Surviving are his son, Carlton Holt “James” Stegall, Jr. (Wanda) of Campobello; his daughter, Carlene Joyce Farley (Todd) of Fort Mill; four grandchildren, Carlton H. “Trey” Stegall III, Travis Cooper, Sam Farley and Emily Farley; his great-granddaughter, Savannah Cooper; his great-great-grandson, Colton Palmer; and his two special dogs, Patty and Tyson. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Perry Stegall; and his siblings, Luther Lloyd Stegall, Jr., Eleanor Covington Miller, William Boyd Stegall, James Norris Stegall, Bobby Stegall, and Gordon Lee Stegall.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church, 333 US 21 By-Pass, Fort Mill, SC 29715.Read Obituary
