Bobby Jean Hall

Mr. Bobby Jean Hall, age 82, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his home.The graveside funeral with military honors will at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Deffinger and the Rev. Dan Griffin officiating. They will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Due to the pandemic, the family requests that attendees wear masks and observe social distancing.Born in Blackstock, Bobby was a son of the late William Glen Hall and Ruby Louise Riddle Hall. Bobby served in the United States Air Force for 8 years, including two years with the Royal Air Force in England. He married Jean Butler in 1964; they loved nature and enjoyed camping, especially in the mountains. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. A truck driver by trade, Bobby retired from Yellow Freight. He was a metal craftsman and enjoyed welding and creating art. He was also a past member of the Fort Mill Masonic Lodge and the Hejaz Shrine Temple.Surviving are his daughters, Terri Hall Surratt and Jill Hall Pate (Tony), of Fort Mill; his sisters, Margaret Collum of Fort Mill and Joyce Broom of Rock Hill; two grandsons, Dustin Steen and Will Surratt; and his great-granddaughter, Averi Steen.
