Bobby Bennett

Mr. Bobby Allen Bennett, age 70, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2022, at Atrium Health in Pineville, N.C.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Westerly Hills Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at Noon. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road in Rock Hill.Born in York County, S.C., Bobby was a son of the late Billy Hugh Bennett and Eleanor Levanie Kimbrell Bennett. He was formerly employed with Superior Washer and Gasket Co. Bobby was a member of Westerly Hill Baptist Church, where he did the sound system. Bobby was a D.J. and enjoyed beach music and teaching shag.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Loria Jo Wyles Bennett; his twin brothers, Charles Bennett of Fort Mill and James Bennett of Indian Land; and three sisters, Brenda Lee McCoy of Fort Mill, Mary Barrett of Indian Land, and Barbara Acott of Maggie Valley, N.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Bennett; his sister, Karen Elaine Ellis; and numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westerly Hills Baptist Church, 232 South Sutton Road, Fort Mill, SC 29708.Read Obituary
