Here is the Link for the Betty's Service. https://youtu.be/tgu5vQ1UanM Betty Jean Campbell, PhD, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. The funeral ceremony will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at St. John’s United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery. Born in Lando, South Carolina, Betty was a daughter of the late Harry Pickett Campbell and Lillie Mae Hafner Campbell. A graduate of Fort Mill High School, she continued her education, earning a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop College, a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina, and a Ph.D. from Florida State University. Following her retirement, Betty returned to Fort Mill. She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church where she assisted with youth programs and served on the archives committee. She enjoyed needlework and sewing. Betty also loved to travel, especially to historic places. Surviving are her niece; three nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy. Memorials may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1298, Fort Mill, SC 29716.
