Rev. Karen H. Radcliffe will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.Born in Paterson, N.J., Barbara was a daughter of the late Dean and Sara McKinney Babcock. She loved her family and helped raise her grandchildren. She was called “Mom” and “Grandma” by so many. Her philosophy was: “the more the merrier” helping earn her the title of “the Cooking Queen”. Barbara held many interests and had a variety of different jobs in her lifetime. In addition to being a homemaker, she taught hearing-impaired children, earned her cosmetology license and CNA Certification among many other things. Barbara attended St. John’s United Methodist Church.Surviving are her three daughters, Dee Gravely of Fort Mill, Melissa Keene and Jennifer Keene both of Charlotte; sons-in-law, Frank Gravely and Rudy Kosmerl; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Debbie Babcock of North Carolina; her sister, Joan Mann of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Cera and Jakob Gravely; her former husband, Fred Keene of West Virginia; her sisters-in-law, Allison Hufnagel and Nancy D’Onofrio, both of New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Gary, and brothers-in-law, Bill Hufnagel and Vincent Mann.Memorials may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church and to Salkehatchie, at P.O.
