William Osgood Pettus

Mr. William Osgood “Bill” Pettus, 78, died Friday, March 30, 2018, at his home. The family will receive friends from 2 until 2:50 p.m., Tuesday, April 3 2018, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Joel McMakin officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Born in Fort Mill, Bill was a son of the late Osgood Shaw Pettus and Ola Bolin Pettus. He was owner of Pender & Pettus Insulating and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife, Janice Starnes Pettus; his son, William Eric Pettus of the home; his brother, John Walter “Buddy” Pettus of Indian Land; and two sisters, Patsy Pettus Poole and Linda P.
