Mrs. Shirley Bayne Howard, 78, of Fort Mill, died Monday, September 8, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at Wolfe Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Riley officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery.Born in Fort Mill, Mrs. Howard was the daughter of the late James Mark Bayne and Annie Leola Merritt Bayne. She was retired from Converse in Charlotte and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping and visiting with family and friends. She especially enjoyed caring for her great-grandsons, Caden and Cole Howard.Surviving are her husband, Lewis Bernard Howard, Sr.; her daughters, Pamela Yavorka (Randall) of Fort Mill, Paula Williams of Waxhaw, Angela Beth Sellers of Rock Hill, Melia Wolfe of Fort Mill and Leslie Heid of Fort Mill; her sons, Lewis “Butch” Howard, Jr. (Elaine) of Rock Hill and Bobby Howard of Lake Wylie; her brother, Charles Bayne (Marcie) of Fort Mill; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Keith Jackson; and siblings, Joanne Bupp, Jean Mikulak, Leroy Bayne and Nathaniel BayneThe family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Wolfe Funeral Home and other times at the home of Randall and Pamela Yavorka, 3204 Bannock Dr., Fort Mill.Read Obituary
