Mr. Richard Craig “Ricky” Pettus, Jr., age 52, died Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donald Jacobs officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.Born in Rock Hill, Ricky was a son of Mary Helms Pettus and the late Richard Craig “Dickie” Pettus, Sr. (2008). He graduated from Indian Land High School and was a carpenter. He loved playing with his grandchildren and enjoyed going to the beach and camping.Surviving are his wife, Julie Harvell Pettus; his stepson, Nickolas Hepfer and his wife, Sarah of Rock Hill; his stepdaughter, Christine Jacobs and her husband, Paul of Rock Hill; and four grandchildren, Hayden Hepfer, Sophia Hepfer, Caylin Jacobs and Emma Jacobs. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Martin “Marty” Pettus (1987).The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2017, at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.Memorials may be made to Bethel F.W.B.
