Mr. Norman Thomas Snipes, 77, of Rock Hill, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at home.A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Shield of Faith Church, with the Rev. Larry Soles officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.Born in Rock Hill, Norman was a son of the late Woodrow Thomas Snipes and Elsie Dozier Snipes. He served in the U.S. Army. Norman was the owner and operator of U.S. 21 Truck Stop and attended the Shield of Faith Church.Surviving are his wife, Martha Nivens Snipes; two sons, Alan Snipes (Karolee) and Todd Kiker (Donna), all of Rock Hill ; two daughters, Monica R. Drexel (Scott) of Weddington, Theresa Sulony (Kossim) of New Orleans, La.; his brother, Kenneth “Mickey” Snipes of Fort Mill; his sister, Peggy Hall (Bill) of Metarie, La.; twelve grandchildren, Billy, Emma, Ella, Michael, Georgia, Katie, Joy, Courtney, Nicole, Trey, Leah and Koss Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren, Saundra, Dathon, Christian, Lydia, Landon, Tyler, Kaleb, Mason, Aaliyah and Khole; and his great-great-grandson, Braiden. Preceded in death by his son, Glen Snipes, his daughter, Annette Kessler; granddaughter, Shenna Slouny; four brothers, Gerald, Jimmy, Bobby and Ronnie Snipes.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
