Margaret Price Hood

Mrs. Margaret Price Hood, 93, of Fort Mill, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Carl Williams officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery.Born in Jefferson, S.C., Mrs. Hood relocated to Fort Mill where she met and married James “Bud” Hood on December 25, 1939. She worked all her life at Springs Industries as a spinner until she retired. She was proud to be the oldest member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church in Fort Mill, where she dearly loved to attend. All her life she enjoyed cooking and baking. Also, she loved to sit and watch the birds outside her kitchen window.Surviving are two daughters, Frances Dubberly of Tucson, AZ and Rita St. Clair and her husband, Jim of Rock Hill, S.C.; her son, Tim Hood and his wife, Diane of Fort Mill, S.C.; her daughter-in-law, Vicki Hood of Central, S.C.; seven grandchildren, James, Dana, Jim, Justin, Tyler, Ami, and Paige; and eleven great-grandchildren, Alli, Nikki, Michael, Ashlyn, Kaitlyn, Trey, Jordan, Megan, Michael, Carly and Natalie. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Bud” Hood; her son, James “Buddy” Hood; son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Dubberly; and her grandchild, Al St. Clair.The family would like to give special thanks to Debbie Gregory and Kylee.Memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse P.H.
