Mrs. June Miller Kidd, 81, of Fort Mill, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at home.The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Doby’s Bridge Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Elliott Hipp officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Chester.Born in Fort Mill, Mrs. Kidd was the last surviving of ten children born to the late Mack C. Miller and Minnie Lee Wells Miller. She spent her childhood living between Fort Mill, Pineville and Florida. Mrs. Kidd worked for Celanese then attended York Technical College to become a drafter, which was her line of work until retirement. She was an active member of Doby’s Bridge Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed visiting Florida beaches, fishing, and entertaining with family and friends.Surviving are her daughter, Beth Branham and her husband, Steve of Blackstock; and two grandchildren, Krysten and Mitchell Branham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Billy Bryant Kidd; and her siblings, Jewel Miller, Ruth Miller Harkey, Beulah Miller Jones, Jesse Miller, Nellie Miller Becknell, Sue Miller Stewart, Thadeus Miller, James Miller and Cora Miller Buckles.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Doby’s Bridge Presbyterian Church.
