Mr. John Paul Richmond, 77, of Fort Mill, died Sunday, August 17, 2014, at his home.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, with Father John Giuliani officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.Born in Barberton, Ohio, Mr. Richmond was a son of the late John Michael Richmond and Virginia Miller Richmond. He was a master mechanic for B.F. Goodrich and Continental Tire. Mr. Richmond was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking, especially building bluebird houses. Surviving are his wife, Susan Horning Richmond; three sons, John D. Richmond (Josie) of Wadsworth, Ohio, Kenneth Montuori of Camden, TN, and Perry Montuori (Angela) of Rock Hill, SC; four daughters, Melanie Jupena of Lake Wylie, S.C., Jo Huffstetler and (Tommy) of Clover, SC, Jennifer Nagel of Troutman, NC and Jennifer Montuori Stamper (Shane) of Fort Mill, SC; his brother, Carl Richmond of New Martinsville, WV; two sisters, Christina Thorne of Whitnel, NC and Regina Richmond of Cameron, WV; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. "The General" will be deeply missed! His hard core exterior was a front for his warm and loving heart! I have a garden today because of this man and think of him every time I'm working in it. We will pray for the family and smile when we think of you!
