Hugh Allen Mullis

Mr. Hugh Allen Mullis, 83, died Saturday, December 5, 2015, at his home.The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road in Rock Hill.Born in Belmont, N.C., Mr. Mullis was a son of the late Clyde and Blanche Norris Keller Mullis. He graduated from Cramerton High School in Cramerton, N.C. Mr. Mullis served in the U.S. Air Force (1951-1953) and retired from the N.C. Air National Guard (1954-1992). He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He volunteered at the Fort Mill Care Center for 24 years.Surviving are his children, Alan Mullis (Mari) of Leachville, Ark., Lisa Carrigan (Steve) of Belmont, N.C. and Molly (Mark) Whitehouse of Browns Summitt, N.C.; six grandchildren, Cliff Mullis, Daniel Mullis, Caleb Mullis, Shannon Carrigan, Annie Dudley and Seth Wells; four great-grandchildren, Mason Mullis, Brayden Mullis, Jax Mullis and Daniel Dudley; his sweetheart, Ann Horne of Fort Mill; the mother of his children, Eloise Buthe of Belmont, N.C. and his sister-in-law, Betty Armstrong of Belmont. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jean Golding (2004); and two sisters, Betty Maners and Ruth Rigler.The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2015 at Wolfe Funeral Home and other times at the home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Mill Care Center Building Fund, P.O.
