Mr. Gregory Hampton “Greg” Rogers, 33, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at his home.The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at Tega Cay Baptist Church, with the Rev. Brad Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at Philadelphia United Methodist Church.Born in Sanford, N.C., Greg was the son of George Hampton Rogers, Jr. and Patricia Ann Farris Bressler. He graduated from Fort Mill High School in 1998 and was active on the golf and football teams. Greg graduated from Winthrop University in 2005, where he started the College Young Republicans and was Chapter President and an active member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was self employed as a consultant with economic development. He was a member of Tega Cay Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and was active in politics, especially the Republican Party.Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Lynn Rogers; his one month old son, Gregory Hampton Rogers, Jr.; his father, Hamp Rogers of Tega Cay; his mother Patricia Bressler of Tega Cay; his brother, Carl Bryan Sullivan of Tega Cay; his sister, Kathleen L. Rogers of Columbia; and his grandmother, Virginia Ann Farris.The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Wolfe Funeral Home.Read Obituary
