Frances Marie Foster

Mrs. Frances Marie Best Foster, 67, died Thursday, April 19, 2018, at her home.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 5:45 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2018, at South Charlotte Baptist Church, where she was a member. The funeral will follow at 6 p.m., with the Pastor Joseph Campbell officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Holiday, Penn.Born in Coudersport, Penn., Frances was one of seven children of the late Herbert and Barbara Wilcox. She was a homemaker, and was an excellent seamstress having made prom dresses and even a wedding dress. Frances enjoyed painting landscapes, and knitting which she passed along to a granddaughter.Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Richard Joseph Foster, Sr.; her children, Amie Foster Fullmer (Todd) of Fort Mill, Richard Foster, Jr. (Toni) of Rochester, N.Y., Benjamin Fostser (Bonnie) of Fort Mill and Joshua Foster of Rochester, N.Y.; her siblings, George Kern of Greenville, N.C., Bill Walthousen of Troy, N.Y., Bobby Smith of Holland Patton, N.Y., Bobby Jeskalamey of Fla. and Randy Prutzman of Texas; and seven grandchildren.Memorials may be made to ALS Center, 1010 Edgehill Road North, Charlotte, NC 28207-1885 or to South Charlotte Baptist Church, 12416 Lancaster Hwy, Pineville, NC 28134.Read Obituary
